She decided to forgo a full-time teaching career so that Jill wouldn't become a latchkey kid. When Jill got home from school, there was almost always someone waiting for her. When Jill was late, her mom went out to find her. Jill always found her mother's love a bit oppressive, and her mother's fear for her safety a bit overwrought. Until, that is, Jill discovered there was a shocking reason for it. CLIFF is Jill's younger brother. He spent many a day as a toddler sleeping in his sister's bed...and Jill loved having him there. He's turned into a bit of a technology nerd and is just beginning to bloom sexually. Like his dad, he's one of the good guys, who has a big heart and whose heart is easily broken. He's at that stage where he seems to fall in love with every pretty girl he sees. MANDY is a Portland girl Jill met on one of her several trips to Portland, Oregon. She was the desk girl at the hotel Jill was staying at and was invited by some people Jill hooked up with to go along on a wilderness hike. This led to some sexual fun.
